Ashok Kumar’s daughter Bharti Jaffrey Passes Away

Legendary late actor Ashok Kumar’s daughter Bharti Jaffrey passed away on Tuesday, ie. September 20. She was suffering from a prolonged illness. Her cremation was done on Tuesday evening at Chembur crematorium. The sad news of her death was initially shared by her son–in–law Kanwaljit Singh who is married to her daughter Anuradha Patel. He had posted a photo of himself with Bharti on Instagram and wrote that she had died on September 20. He also mentioned that they would bring her home at 1:30 pm today for her final goodbye at 403 Ashok Kumar Towers,47 Union Park, Chembur 71, and thereafter she would be cremated at Cherai Crematorium Chembur Camp.

Actress Nandita Puri also shared this news. She also shared her fond memories with Bharti. In an interview with ETimes, she mentioned that Bharti Jaffrey was very vivacious and warm, and everyone who knew her would miss her affection and warmth. She also mentioned that though Anuradha Patel and Kanwaljit Singh are family friends, Bharti di always endeared them to her by her thoughtful gestures. She has never forgotten to wish her on her birthday and would pick up a souvenir from her trips for her. She mentioned that she would miss it very much. She also said that Bharti was an extremely talented actress.

Bharti Jaffrey had acted in notable films such as “Hazaar Charuasi KI Maa,” which was released in 1998. She was also part of ”Saans,” released in 1999. She also acted in “ Daman: A Victim of Marital Violence, which was released in 2001. She was married to Hamid Jaffrey, the brother of actor Saeed Jaffrey. It is indeed a loss to the film fraternity. We have had multiple deaths in the entertainment industry in the past year.
