The Complete History of Ezra Miller’s Controversial Career

Ezra Miller has had its fair share of controversies. Miller first came into the showbiz limelight with his Hollywood film debut in “Afterschool“ which was released in 2008. Miller’s breakthrough role came in 2012 with the movie “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”. But following that, Miller’s life has been marred and overshadowed by numerous public controversies. Miller identifies himself as nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns. It was revealed they are seeking treatment for “complex mental health issues”. Miller has also said that they want to apologize to everyone who is upset with their behavior.

The statement from the actor came post reports that Warner Bros was thinking of replacing Miller as The Flash in the future D.C Comics movies amid the rising legal trouble.

Miller was arrested and charged with marijuana possession on June 22, 2011, which was just before the actor’s breakout role in the movie “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”. The police had reported that the actor was holding a brown, vegetable material during a routine traffic stoppage. In July, the New Jersey Judge dismissed the possession charges and issued two disorderly conduct citations. The next incident came in April 2020 when a video surfaced online. In that video, Miller was shown choking a woman at a bar in Reykjavik, Iceland. It was later confirmed that the incident was a serious altercation at the bar and the actor was later escorted off the premises due to the same.

Two years after the incident, the woman from the clip shared that her banter with Miller about getting into a fight was meant as a joke. But it seems that her friend had antagonized the situation when he told Miller that the actor didn’t want to fight.

In January 2022, Miller posted a video on Instagram threatening members of a Ku Klux lan. Miller said that if the members wanted to die then they can kill themselves with their own guns. In March 2022, Miller was charged with Disorderly conduct and harassment over the actor’s involvement in two separate incidents in a bar in Hawaii. The actor pleaded no contest to the charge and the judge fined Miller by $500.

In April 2022, he was arrested on a second-degree assault charge. In August, the actor was accused of burglary when he stole bottles of alcohol. He was also accused by some parents of grooming their children into using binary pronouns. Let’s hope he gets the desired medical help.
